Paediatric First Aid Course.

Monday 23rd September. 10am until 1pm

Ideal for all parents of young children. Learn how to deal with choking, Trauma and lots more.

Come into the library to sign up, payment required with booking.

There are 15 places on this course so book now to guarantee your place.

 

Cost: £20 per person, to include a manual to take home.

 

International Lacemakers' Day

Saturday 28th September 10am – 12 noon

Lace making demonstrations in the library. Anyone interested in learning how lace is made can come along and find our more.

 

Christmas Fayre

Saturday 30th November from 10am – 2 pm.

(Limited library access that day)

Join us for some festive fun at our Christmas Fayre all proceeds in aid of Willingdon Community Hub Library. Stock up your Christmas larder with mince pies, jams, mince meat and other goodies at the cake stall. Buy hand made gifts at the crafts stall and try your luck with the raffle and book lucky dip,

Christmas Carol Evening

12th December 2019 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

We will be joining in the Annual Christmas Carol Evening organised by Willingdon & Jevington Parish Council.

It starts outside the Parish Office on the Jubilee Gardens.  The library will be open and there will be a ‘Sweet Shop’ with Christmas biscuits, sweets, popcorn, teas and coffees. Win a prize by guessing how many sweets in gingerbread house. Gamble on the Raffle and have a lucky dip. Read more at Willingdon & Jevington Parish Council

Rhyme time.

Every Wednesday 10:30am until 11am

Babies, toddlers and their parents or carers can have fun singing and learning rhymes in the library.

For babies and children up to 5 years.

Cost: Free, but donations welcome.

 

Silver surfers

Every Wednesday 11am – 12 noon

For seniors who need help with their computers

Cost: free

 

Knit and natter

Tuesdays from 7:00pm until 8:30pm commencing 1st October

People can learn to knit and crochet at the knit and natter. All levels of experience welcome. Come along, bring your knitting and make new friends, teas and coffees available

Cost: £1.50.

 

Computer workshop

Alternate Wednesday afternoons commencing 4th September.  2:00 – 3.30 pm

Beginners level – get some help with internet, emails, help on how to start an ancestry search, how to use YouTube.

Cost: Free but donations welcome.

 

Sewing and craft group

Alternate Wednesday afternoons commencing 11th September. 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm

Learn to sew and make simple craft objects please bring your own scissors.

for adults and 12 years +.
